"Lead kindly Light, amidst the encircling gloom…" This prayer is the essence of our educational objectives – to lead the children from darkness to light …. Open Arms has been performing such a stupendous task ever since the beginning of the New Millennium as a "School of Excellence", it has further qualified its beliefs in the philosophy of quality education. Here in Open Arms, we do not stop with the amount of information that is imparted to each child, but take it further to focus on man-making, life-building, character formation and spiritual growth. In other words, the ultimate end of our "Labour" is "Virtue". 'Excellence in academics' is our prime concern though sports and games and other extracurricular activities too form an integral part of Open Arms. We Endeavour to give every child who enters Open Arms a holistic education. However, the 'Education' – 'with books' in their hands, 'learning for life'. Open Arms focuses on the intellectual, physical, psychological and spiritual development of her students. The school follows the Central Board of Secondary Education syllabus prescribed by the NCERT.
To develop their full potential in the academic, cultural, social & humanitarian and personal fields within the ambience of a harmonious teaching-learning experience.
“To empower, To educate, To enlighten individuals, so they make a society, based on values, ethics and justice".
Dear Friends of Open Arms School,
The 2016-17 academic year was one of tremendous progress and achievement for Open Arms School, both at the individual school level, and as a collective network. From the ground-breaking of our first high school, to our outstanding faculty receiving well-deserved external recognition, and our students’ ongoing hard work in and out of the classroom, we have many reasons to be proud.
Our students and staff worked exceptionally hard this year to make the transition from Matriculation Board to the CBSE Board. We try to understand and work with each child, and we firmly believe that it is our responsibility to enable the child in our care to develop as a whole. We strive to impart knowledge that encompasses the prescribed syllabi of the institution as well as that of the world that lies beyond the classroom.
To all of the members of our community, I would like to thank you for your whole-hearted belief in our mission.
It is my prayer that the Almighty God continues to bless this school as well as all the members of the Open Arms Family, the Students, Parents, and all those associated with this Institution.
Rev. Dr. Allan J Stephens
Dear Parents and Friends of Open Arms School,
Another year is in the books as we completed our 18th year as a school ministry. It was very clear that God’s hand was on our ministry in terms of the many blessings He bestowed on us as well as the challenges.
Excellence is what we aim for, in every area of the student’s life-academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular. Nurtured in a genial atmosphere, on the bedrock of sound moral and spiritual values, our students at Open Arms are motivated to raise the bar, set higher goals and give their best at all times. Passion coupled with a high degree of responsibility and integrity is the driving force.
As we enter the new academic year, we step forth in hope and confidence knowing that He leads us. The 2018-19 school year showed God’s hand upon Open Arms as He blessed us with spiritual awakenings, academic progress, fine arts offerings and athletic accomplishments. We are excited to see how God will grow us in the year to come.
I express my sincere gratitude to our Chairman, under whose leadership and guidance, the school has progressed by leaps and bounds. I also thank our teaching and non teaching Staff whose dedication and labour brought excellence in academics, sports field and co-curricular activities.
May this year be not just a joyful harvest of rich memories but also a source of inspiration that will goad us attempt even greater things for the greater glory of God, our nation and the human family worldwide!
